Pathfinder of Liberty
Pathfinder of Liberty is a portrait of Harriet Tubman, honouring her extraordinary courage, resilience and enduring fight for freedom.
Modelled in clay and available in bronze resin or bronze, the portrait depicts Tubman wearing a lace shawl gifted to her by Queen Victoria. Her composed yet determined expression reflects the strength of a woman whose life became defined by resistance to slavery and her commitment to helping others reach freedom.
Story
The sculpture explores Harriet Tubman’s enduring legacy and the extraordinary journey that took her from enslavement to becoming one of the most recognised figures in the struggle for freedom.
The portrait is accompanied by a separate inscription presented on a polished wooden base. The words attributed to Tubman are presented in large tactile print and braille, with a voiced version accessible via QR code.
Together, the portrait and inscription invite reflection on courage, determination and the ability of an individual to create change.
Pathfinder of Liberty is available as a limited edition of 8 in bronze resin or bronze.
