The tigress has always symbolised strength, resilience, and guardianship of the natural world. Shakti: Spirit of the Tigress captures this power, drawing on the Sanskrit word Shakti — the divine feminine energy that is both nurturing and fiercely protective.
The Making
The sculpture began in clay before being cast into bronze resin, with the option of solid bronze. It is mounted on reclaimed wood, cut through by a flowing blue resin stream that represents life and renewal. Granite rocks are set in a circular formation, evoking both the landscape of the wild and the eternal cycles of nature. Across this ground, the tigress moves with quiet authority, embodying both grace and strength.
Day and Night
Photographed against both white and black backgrounds, the sculpture reveals two sides of her spirit. In daylight she embodies vitality and clarity; by night she carries mystery and watchfulness. Just like the tigress in the wild, she belongs to both worlds — shifting between light and shadow.
A Living Symbol
Shakti represents the energy of creation, endurance, and transformation. In this work, the tigress becomes more than a figure: she is a living presence, a guardian balancing power with compassion, endurance with renewal.
